HAND SCULPTED CHRISTMAS MICE

CHRISTMAS MICE

This is what I am working on at the moment. At first I was going to sell them as two separate pieces but after looking at them for a while sitting on my desk I thought they should stay together as a family. I will be making this into a sort of Nativity scene. Stay tuned to see what I am talking about.

Folk Art Chicken

Work in progress
She is coming along. Feet are done now on to her wings then the fun part of dressing her. I enjoy the whole process of creating something from scratch but choosing fabrics and jewelry and dressing is so much fun. To me it's the most relaxing part of the process.

Folk Art Chicken

Jemimah

I am in the process of creating a pattern for a chicken. She is turning out pretty good so far. I just don't have enough hours in the day to get her done right now. She will have to sit and brood for a few days. I am making her hat out of Buckram and sculpting her face. She is a life size chicken which was a bit of a surprise to me because I didn't set out to make her so big. I like that she is life size. She will be wearing pearls, bonnet and shawl. Can't wait to paint her. Stay tuned for the finished product.

Doll House Miniture Boston Terrier

Working on my mini Boston Terrier. Have tried to get him done for a while now but life kept getting in the way. Anyway he is a mess right now I know. I love Bostons and would love to have one but Hubby says he can't live with a stinky dog. I would put up with it just to have such a cute little thing in my life. He stands (or sits) just under 1 3/4 inches. Love him. He will go on Etsy when he is finished.

Folk Art Doll

 Little Emily 12 inches
I just finished Emily. She is very sweet. Only 12 inches tall and smells like roses. I made this pattern last night and it turned out really nice I think. I will be making lots more of these. Just click on the link below.

Halloween Art Doll 2014

She is finished. I just finished her bloomers today. I added four assorted vintage buttons to the  back of her dress. Her shoes are hand scuplted out of paperclay and aged. They have a leather look to them. She needs a name still, it's funny how some dolls tell me their name right up front (no my dolls don't speak) and some evolve and some are hard to name. I have to say that this one turned out really special. She has lots of personality and even a bit scary the way she looks at you. She is 30 inches tall not counting her hat, so she is a big one. I have enjoyed every minute making this doll and can't wait to make my next one this big.
