French Bulldog
Side view of my little miniature French Bulldog. I am sculpting it out of Super Sculpey and I will be flocking it. This is going to be a doll house miniature size. I have several things I have sculpted and haven't had time to bake and finish. I feel like this year has zoomed by and now the holidays are almost upon us. I am not going to get freaked out that I don't have much to sell this year. It has been a very stressful time for my family and just holding it together is about as much as I can do right now. I love my blog and my art, it keeps me from going insane.
Halloween Pumpkin Art Doll
Well I am in week five of six. I will be getting the pin removed from my toe next week and a supportive boot so I can finely walk. It has been the longest five weeks of my life. I was ordered by the doctor not to put my foot on the ground for six weeks after foot surgery and I have almost managed to do that. I will be getting back to my dolls the end of next week I hope. My newest pumpkin doll is sitting in her chair with the most mean look on her face. She seems to be mad at me for leaving her for so long unfinished without arms and naked. I tried several ways to sit at my sewing machine with my foot elevated above my heart as ordered but to no avail. Just too painful to have it lower than that. Anyway here is a pic of my new doll in the works.

Halloween Pumpkin Head Art Doll
This is my first Halloween Art Doll for this year. She is going to be a big-un, at least 38 inches including her hat. Can't wait to paint and dress her in all those lovely oranges and black stripes.

I have been busy with my grand kids these last few weeks. They are growing so fast. I wanted to have them with me as much as possible because of some upcoming surgery on my foot.
They go back home at the end of this week.
I will have a pin sticking out the end of my foot so my house will be a no kid zone until that comes out after six weeks.
I shall be wheelchair bound for six weeks and then another month or so before I am completely healed up. I am planning on getting lots of work done while I can't walk.
This week I am setting up my sewing room so that I can reach everything I need to complete my dolls. That's the plan anyway, or I could just be rolling around in agony and get nothing done, we shall see.

Boston Terrier Puppy
I never seem to follow rules and never do things in the right order. It gets me in trouble with my art sometimes but most of the time it works out.
Having already started sculpting my Boston Terrier puppy, without first sketching or looking at photos of puppies. I had to stop working on it because I needed some reference as to how to make his body position .
So now I get around to doing a sketch of him. Then after the sketch was done I liked it and couldn't stop myself from adding colour.
Anyway I am almost done with the sketch and will finish the sculpt soon.
Hand sculpted Boston Terrier puppy
I am working on this tiny Sculpey Boston Terrier puppy. It is for the dollhouse I am making. After he is all sculpted I am going to flock him in black and white. This could also be a French Bulldog I haven't made my mind up yet

Halloween doll house
Doing some stone work on the doll house today. I work on it in between other projects so it's taking a long time. I find it very relaxing. I'm thinking of ways to make this look very old. I have to figure out how to add the door, or doors on the back still. Today I am going to Hobby Lobby to look at lighting. I want a creepy fireplace with an orange glow to it. I like it so far.

folk art, vintage, artist Teddy Bear, one of a kind
Before and After
I have really enjoyed making this little Teddy. She looked so sweet before I tea-stained her, and after. I found the chair in my local charity shop, it had arms but one was broken. I took the arms off and filled and sanded the holes then painted it. Not bad for $1.

Artist Bear Original
I sat a played yesterday in my studio. I wanted to make a new bear pattern that was way smaller than I usually do.
I have created two patterns that where smaller a long time ago but I wanted one that was just a little easier on my eyes to hand sew.
After making the pattern I cut it out in furry wool felt. I liked the end results but I want to tweak it a little next time.
I will be making the pattern available on my Etsy store next week, when I am satisfied with the end results.
I am also working on a cute little pink elephant as well. She will be a tad bigger that this bear.
Anyway it's Mothers Day weekend and my family are coming over to spoil me, either that or I am going to cook clean and spoil them. Stay tuned for Bella the pink elephant.

Hand painted roses
My Daughter was going to throw my Grand-daughters old bed away. I couldn't let that happen so I told her I would take it. I am going to make a cute little girls bench out of it. I have this vintage fabric that I love. I drew then painted roses similar to the ones on the fabric and I am going to make a seat cushion.

My first chicken painting. He is a little strange but I like that about him. I didn't study chickens before I did this and after looking at some pictures of chickens I can see I missed the mark in most areas. I think I must have dreamed about him last night because I woke up this morning and just had to paint him.

I am working on my little Shayzee's bedroom right now. I rescued this seventies lamp from a house we bought, my husband wanted to throw it away and said it was ugly. Well it was but not anymore. I painted it in sparkle paint and added trim and a butterfly and spray painted the brass parts apple green. She is going to love it.

Angel Gabriel
I have been working on this for a Christmas card. My idea of the Angel Gabriel. I think of the scripture "Every eye shall see him" I did a large wooden cut out of Raphael's painting ages ago and I wanted to redo it because I was not happy with the faces. I like this one much better.

Halloween Art Doll Pumpkin
This is my new doll pattern I have just designed and I am very pleased with it so far. I have to tweak some things on my next one but not too much. I have made her to be very floppy, her head rolls as you move her almost giving her a live feel. As she is sleeping I wanted her head to be able to slump to the side. Her legs are very bendable as well. I have hand sewn tiny buttons down the side of her boots which I love the look of.She is a large doll. She measures 34 inches to the top of her hat.

Christmas Ornament Santa
This is a paper mache sculpture I am working on. I first made the snowball out of the rough paper mache then used a really smooth paper mache for Santa. I like how he is turning out so far.

Christmas Ornaments Santa
Just put them on eBay. They turned out nice I think. They have an old world feel to them. I toned down the color with burnt umber to make them look like they were very old. Item number: 251168161639 on eBay. I know there's a way to add a link but I can't remember how to do it right now and I am sooooooo tired. I will try again tomorrow to do it the right way. Night night. zzzzzzzzzzzz!

Christmas Fairy
I started this ages ago. I think it will actually get finished by this Christmas, maybe. She is only 4 inches long. I am going to make her some wings, I think I will experiment with fabric.

These are what I have come up with so far. They will be made into dolls and ornies. That's the plan anyway. Just have to find the time to do it now. Also working on a dollhouse with the hubby. Stay tuned.

Ghost
I am working on a series of dolls that have the same shape face but different expressions. This is Scaredy Ghost. I think they will make nice ornaments as well.

Chihuahua painting and British bulldog
Just had an urge to do a painting of a Chihuahua this weekend. I call it "Slugs and Snails" because without thinking about the design I just did some squiggles and swirls. After looking at it, they look like slugs and snails and we have the puppy dog tail to boot. It was a project to release some stress so I had no idea where this painting would go. I am now working on a British bulldog with a British flag to commemorate the Olympics 2012.
